Pinomatic has designed and delivered a conveyor system and stack lift to Lignatur AG Switzerland. The stack lift can lower stacks of up to 16.5 metres long and 2.6 metres high from upper to lower floors. The maximum weight of the stacks is 5,000 kg, so the lift and conveyors were designed to be strong, sturdy and suitable for transferring long items in a limited space, according to the customer’s needs. The customer wanted to maximise efficiency, improve safety, automate warehouse transfers between production units and warehouse pickup. The total height of the lift is 9.4 metres. The stack lift is the highest lifting equipment Pinomatic has delivered to date.
The installation work will start in January, and the lift is expected to be in operation by the end of the same month. The timber is graded on the first floor and then lifted to the second floor, where it is graded, finger-jointed and made into load-bearing box beams that are sound-insulating according to the customer’s needs. The finished stacks are lowered to the first floor or first passed through the surface treatment line. From the lift, the stacks are transferred by a forklift to the assembly area for the elements and then to the finished goods warehouse to wait for delivery to the customer.
Lignatur AG manufactures high-quality ceiling and roof elements for a wide range of buildings; residential buildings, educational institutions, halls, leisure facilities and offices. The focus is on sustainable, aesthetic and innovative construction.
